The opening movie of the “Solothurner Filmtage”, is nominated in the category “Best Feature Film” and for the “Best Screenplay”. Further nominees are Marie Leuenberger as “Best Actress” and Max Simonischek as “Best Actor”.
In the section “Best Supporting Actor” “The divine Order” already has a prize secured: the three nominated actresses Sibylle Brunner, Therese Affolter and Rachel Braunschweig all had a supporting role in Volpes Film.
The comédie humaine, that is also part of the “Prix de Soleure” candidates, humorously describes the fight for the introduction of women’s voting rights in Switzerland. At the center is the initially staid young Appenzell housewife Nora (Leuenberger), who soon starts campaigning for the rights of women despited all the obstacles she’s facing. Nora could follow in the footsteps of Sabine Boss’ goalie: In 2014 “The Goalie bin ig” started the Awards with seven overall nominations.
